About Your Seminar Leader
Seminar leader Dr. Jerry Lucas is one of the foremost innovators in using telecommunications technologies to create new business opportunities. His technical experience spans virtually every aspect of modern telecommunications including IP networks, satellites, voice switching systems, cellular networks, cable TV and optical fiber implementation.
Dr. Lucas is founder and president of TeleStrategies, Inc. He has planned and chaired more than 400 major telecommunications conferences. His expert opinions have been widely published in leading periodicals such as Business Week, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Forbes, Fortune and The Wall Street Journal. Additionally, Dr. Lucas has appeared as a guest expert commentator on national television programs produced by NBC, CBS and ABC.
Before establishing TeleStrategies, Dr. Lucas held several senior positions in the telecommunications industry including vice president, corporate development, of a Hughes Network Systems company; senior scientist at Comsat; advisor to the Executive Office of the President for Telecommunications Policy and Regulatory Matters; and engineer at Bell Northern Research. He received his Ph.D. in physics and completed post-doctoral work in computer science.
