Telecommunications business intelligence includes a wide assortment of technologies, approaches, strategies and techniques. Many carriers, however, have found that there is a big difference between "doing" business intelligence and "getting the most" out of business intelligence. For far too many carriers, millions of dollars have been spent on expensive data warehouse, data mining, market research and other activities, with very little if any true benefit to show for the investment.
